About the App

Wander is a native iOS travel translator. Point the Lens at a menu or sign and it labels every line, then explains a dish: what it is, allergens, spice level, and a tip. Conversation mode lays the phone between two people so each side reads its own language. A phrasebook keeps what you learn, with slow playback.

Frequently Asked Questions

Translation says a language pack is needed

The first time you use a language pair, iOS offers to download Apple's on-device translation pack. Accept it once; after that translation works without a connection. You can manage packs in iOS Settings > Apps > Translate > Downloaded Languages.

The Lens reads the text but no card appears

Explanation cards use a cloud AI and need a connection. Free travelers get three cards a day; Wander Pro removes the limit. If you are Pro and cards still fail, tap Restore purchases in Settings.

What does Wander Pro include?

Unlimited explanation cards and whole-photo summaries. Yearly starts with a 3-day free trial; a 7-day or 30-day trip pass does not renew; Lifetime is a one-time purchase. Everything else in the app stays free.

How do I cancel or manage my subscription?

Subscriptions are handled by Apple. Open iOS Settings, tap your name, then Subscriptions, and choose Wander. Cancelling during the free trial means you are never charged.

I reinstalled and lost Pro

Open Settings inside Wander and tap Restore purchases. Yearly and Lifetime come back immediately. Trip passes are tied to the original install; if a pass is missing, email us with the purchase date and we will sort it out.

Does it work offline?

Translation, the Lens text overlay, the phrasebook, and the last cached exchange rate work offline once the language pack is downloaded. Explanation cards and live weather need a connection.

My dietary avoid list is wrong

Open Settings inside Wander and change the avoid list; every new card is checked against it.
